Nutritional Therapy

What is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional therapy is a science-based approach to health and healing that uses a comprehensive assessment and a personalized intervention plan to address nutritional imbalances and support the body towards maintaining health. It involves the use of specific dietary advice, supplements, and lifestyle changes to assist individuals in achieving their health goals.

Who is Nutritional Therapy for?

While nutritional support can be beneficial to many people to identify areas of their diet and lifestyle that can be improved, there are specific areas of concern that can be addressed with nutritional therapy. These include individuals who struggle with:

  • Disordered eating (e.g., inadequate intake, food restriction, binge eating, and imbalanced or irregular eating patterns) )

  • Nutrition deficiencies that impact mental and physical health

Some people choose to receive nutritional support while receiving treatment to improve their mental and physical health, as an         alternative to prescription medication

At Green Valley Therapy, we are not anti-medication (hence the psychiatric NP on staff), but we are pro food as medicine. If you want to get support and find out more about our nutritional therapy, reach out today!
