Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we are in-network with several major insurance providers. Please visit our Rates & Insurancepage for the most up-to-date list, or contact us directly and we’ll be happy to help verify your benefits. We also offer superbills for out-of-network reimbursement if we are not in-network with your plan. Please note that we do not accept insurance for couples or family therapy due to the insurance restrictions.

Do you offer evening or weekend appointments?

We understand how busy life can be. Several of our therapists offer evening and weekend availability to accommodate your schedule. Availability varies by provider, so reach out and we’ll do our best to match you with someone whose hours work for you.

What ages do you work with?

We provide therapy for children, teens, and adults. Whether it’s child therapy for young children or talk therapy for adults navigating life’s complexities, our team offers specialized support across the lifespan.

What can I expect at my first appointment?

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know you, your story, goals, and what brings you to therapy. We’ll explore how we can best support you and create a personalized plan moving forward. We’ll also set the expectations for the therapeutic relationship.

How long does therapy last?

Therapy looks different for everyone. Some people find relief in a few sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. We’ll work collaboratively with you to determine the right pace and frequency.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes, we offer secure telehealth sessions across Maryland. Whether you’re at home or in a private space elsewhere, you can receive care in a way that’s flexible and comfortable.

What if I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t help?

That’s a valid concern—and one we hear often. Our team takes a personalized, relational approach. We work to understand what didn’t work in the past and adjust to meet your specific needs in the present.

How do I know which therapist is the right fit for me or my child?

We’re here to help with that! During your initial inquiry, we’ll ask a few questions to learn about your needs and preferences. From there, we’ll recommend a therapist whose approach and availability are a good match.
