  • Green Valley Therapy is seeking Clinical Site Supervisors to support and oversee the clinical team at each of our site locations in New Market, Frederick, and Boonsboro, MD. This role offers an opportunity to diversify beyond 1:1 client care by providing leadership, supervision, and site-specific support to provisionally and fully licensed clinicians. Clinical Site Supervisors manage a caseload while providing weekly or monthly clinical supervision (depending on the clinician’s licensure), promoting professional growth, and fostering a positive and collaborative culture within their site.

This position’s weekly hours will vary depending on the size and needs of the assigned site. While a supervisory license is not required at the time of hire, the site supervisor will be expected to obtain one within three months of starting the position.

    Reports to:

    Assistant Clinical Director

Clinical Site Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities:

    ● Oversee and support provisionally (PLC) and fully licensed clinicians (FLC) assigned to your site.

    ○ Provide monthly clinical supervision (one-hour sessions) to one or more clinicians.

    ○ Monitor note quality, timeliness of notes, documentation standards, and overall clinical performance-including reviewing and co-signing clinical documentation fo provisionally licensed clinicians.

    ○ Ensure supervised clinicians understand and follow all GVT policies, procedures, and clinical expectations.

    ○ Foster the clinical and professional development of clinicians through guidance, feedback, and collaborative problem-solving.

    ● Support new clinician onboarding, including monitoring clinicians in their 30, 60, and 90-day introductory periods.

    ● Participate in monthly meetings with other Clinical Site Supervisors and the Assistant Clinical Director to discuss processes, support needs, and address site-specific updates.

    ● Rotate with other supervisors to facilitate monthly group supervision/case consultation for provisionally and fully licensed clinicians.

    ● Promote a positive, supportive, and growth-oriented culture within the assigned site and in connection to overall team culture.

    ● Monitor site supplies and general upkeep, addressing or reporting needs to support a clean, organized environment.

    ● Perform other related supervisory duties as assigned.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    ● Clinical Site Supervisors are expected to consistently meet or exceed all clinical, documentation, and professional standards, including punctuality in reporting to work, attending sessions and meetings, submitting documentation, and responding to clinician needs.

    ● Must attend monthly staff and supervisor meetings.

    ● Must demonstrate consistent professionalism for 3–6 months following the resolution of any performance concerns, with the duration determined by the significance of the issue.

    ● Must have an eagerness to work hard and invest in the team as well as the growth of Green Valley Therapy.

    ● Must have a passion for working with others and helping our team members grow and learn.

    ● Must be present at their site at least 2 days a week; available via phone, text, or Google Meets during telework days. Available/On-Call for crisis support of a clinician encountering a high-risk client situation (SI, HI, EAP, CPS, etc).

    ● Must have the ability to receive and provide straightforward feedback to leadership and clinical team members in a candid and kind manner.

    ● Must be organized and detail-oriented.

    ● Must be able to work independently with minimal oversight, taking full accountability for outcomes. Should make sound, independent decisions regarding the clinical support of provisionally licensed staff and recognize when to involve the Assistant/Clinical Director.

    ● Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

This position is good for you if you would describe yourself as:

Internally motivated and able to accurately self-reflect. Able to receive feedback from others, especially supervisees and other leadership team members—and respond with humility and thoughtfulness. Understands that there is always room for growth. Demonstrates the abilityto problem-solve independently, with trust and confidence in their leadership and clinical abilities. Maintains appropriate boundaries with clients and GVT staff.

    ● Energized by helping others in a team and contributing to the growth of Green Valley Therapy.

    ● Skilled in time management and balancing a variety of responsibilities, including client care, supervisory duties, and site maintenance.

    ● Confident in your clinical skills and judgment, and your ability to guide staff through complex situations (i.e., DCFS, crisis)

    ● You have a growth mindset and feel strongly about supporting the development of others.

    ● Able to take direct and constructive feedback and apply it to change behavior.

    ● Able to make tough decisions, have difficult conversations, and lead in a radically candid way.

This position is not right for you if you are:

    ● Someone whose primary motivation is increased pay rather than meaningful engagement with the work. We are all about therapists making more...it just can’t be the primary reason for seeking the role.

    ● Someone who does not feel passion for our mission, vision, and values.

    ● Someone who does not demonstrate a collaborative mindset or engage effectively as part of a team. (Examples may include consistently missing staff meetings, case consultations, or team activities.)

    ● Someone who is unwilling to contribute to team efforts and take on tasks to support the team as collaboration and teamwork are highly valued.

    ● Someone who struggles to receive feedback about themself or their performance and trends toward defensiveness and resistance to change.

    ● Someone who plans to start their own business in the near future are not the best fit for this role. While we fully support entrepreneurial goals, Green Valley Therapy invests significant time and resources in our team members, providing flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to be creative in their roles.
