Sarah Giacalone
Founder - LCSW-C
From a young age, Sarah knew being with people amid big challenges was part of her natural gifts.
She experienced many big challenges, like losing her mom to ALS at the age of 20, that led her to understand the importance of support.
Sarah knows what it’s like to need a reminder that we are strong enough to endure painful things… even when we feel completely defeated.
She is driven by the hope she has experienced within herself and alongside many clients, as she can witness them flourish when they are given the right tools and healthy support.
Sarah started her career working with survivors of domestic violence, youth and families in community mental health, and then teens and young adults within the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. Since then, Sarah has provided mental health support for individuals facing various challenges, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, family and marital conflict, and major life transitions (think moving to college or bringing home a new baby).
Outside helping others, Sarah enjoys playing with her two children, traveling, and being outdoors. She fancies herself an undercover foodie who usually can’t walk past any bakery without stepping inside to satisfy her sweet tooth. Her favorite Netflix show is The Great British Bake Off because…well, sweets (duh) and the participants' kindness to one another always bring her joy. :)
