If you need a reminder that you’re strong enough to endure painful things, even when you feel completely defeated, I know what that’s like.
From a young age, I knew that being with people amid big challenges was one of my natural gifts. I faced many big challenges of my own, including losing my mom to ALS at the age of 20, and those experiences taught me the importance of support.
I started my career working with survivors of domestic violence and with youth and families in community mental health. I then worked with teens and young adults in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. Since then, I’ve provided mental health support for people facing depression, anxiety, ADHD, family and marital conflict, and major life transitions (think moving to college or bringing home a new baby).
I’m driven by the hope I’ve experienced within myself and alongside many clients. I’ve witnessed them flourish when they’re given the right tools and healthy support, and I bring that same hope into my work today. If you’re looking for that kind of support, I’d love to hear from you.
Outside of helping others, I enjoy playing with my two children, traveling, and being outdoors. I fancy myself an undercover foodie who usually can’t walk past a bakery without stepping inside to satisfy my sweet tooth. My favorite Netflix show is The Great British Bake Off because… well, sweets (duh), and the participants’ kindness to one another always brings me joy. :)
