Kelly Jarvis

Director of Business Operations

Picture of a mountain landscape

Kelly brings over two decades of leadership experience spanning corporate environments, privately-owned firms, non-profit organizations, and small business ownership. Since stepping into her first leadership role at 22 in major market radio—managing teams at stations across DC and Baltimore—she has built a career focused on one core strength: helping teams accomplish their goals together through scalable systems and operational frameworks.

Her unique perspective comes from understanding how different organizational structures operate. She's led complex technology rollouts across corporate radio markets nationwide, built operational processes for marketing agencies, run her own business for seven years, and implemented systems across both for-profit and mission-driven organizations. This breadth allows her to merge corporate-level systems with the passion and agility that small businesses need to thrive.

As a former business owner, Kelly learned the hard lessons of entrepreneurship—what works in theory versus practice, where systems break down, and how to build sustainable operations without losing the human element. She eventually sold her wellness business and transitioned into operational leadership roles, demonstrating her commitment to long-term partnership over transactional leadership.

Kelly's leadership philosophy is straightforward: great operations exist to empower teams, not constrain them. She focuses on creating efficient workflows, optimizing practice operations, and building systems that allow teams to focus on their core work while maintaining healthy business performance. Her approach combines operational rigor with genuine care for the people doing the work.

A graduate of James Madison University (BA in Broadcasting, Minor in Speech Communications), Kelly also holds certifications as a personal trainer and yoga instructor. She lives in New Market with her husband and three children, where she serves on the New Market Green Team and the board of CBE Greater-DC. She coaches youth sports and offers mindfulness programming for kids in the community, reflecting her belief that leadership extends beyond business walls.
