Heather joined Green Valley Therapy as the Intake Coordinator, bringing with her a deep commitment to supporting others through their wellness journeys. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and furthered her dedication to compassionate care by completing her Master's degree in Palliative Care and Hospice from the University of Maryland.
With extensive experience in medical social work, Heather has served in various capacities across hospitals, nursing homes, primary care settings, and hospice services. Her professional focus has cultivated a particular passion for working with the senior population, inspired by the meaningful relationships she has witnessed throughout her career. As a Licensed Bachelor Social Worker (LBSW), Heather is excited to transition back into a direct provider role and help launch Green Valley Therapy's Behavioral Health Integration program for seniors—an initiative that aligns perfectly with her professional passions and expertise.
Heather believes that everyone deserves access to compassionate, quality mental health support during life's challenging moments. Her role at Green Valley Therapy allows her to connect community members with the services they need in a welcoming, supportive environment. She is committed to making each person feel comfortable and valued from their very first interaction with the practice.
Outside of her professional life, Heather enjoys spending quality time with her two young children, exploring local parks and creating cherished family memories. She finds balance through these moments of connection and the simple pleasures of daily life.
